Jamaica Billiards So not only can you swim in pools in Jamaica, you can play pool too! There are PLENTY places to play and it seems I hit at least one each trip. Playing Pool in Ocho Rios Not far up Milford Road in Ocho Rios there’s a cool place on the roadside to play pool and have some drinks.  For the life of me I can’t remember the name of it but its directly across the street from a men’s drug rehab centre.  I played this random guy up there and yep….whooped his butt...

This is gonna be a love/hate post….you’re gonna love what you hear about this place but hate me for not telling where it is in Ocho Rios. My reasons for not telling are simple….its a hidden little gem that caters mostly to locals. Its super cheap and I’d like it to stay that way for many reasons, but mostly so it remains a place where locals can still afford to stay. A Jamaican friend of mine tipped me off to this place because she had stayed there before. Its UNBELIEVABLY...

Since everyone wanted more on the Spanish Town experience I thought I’d share something cool I saw there.  My ghetto boys are opening a shop!  I don’t know how great this will be for you but for me I was really proud of them!  It shows a lot of motivation in these tough economic times. Before we got to Spanish Town one of them had told me about this game shop that he was going to open and kept mentioning a “container” that they had.  I didn’t really get what he was...

Jamaica Waterfalls I know I say this about almost every post I make LOL….but this too, is one of my most treasured experiences in Jamaica. I would have never found this little hidden gem if it weren’t by the suggestion of my local friends who decided to take me there. Its called “laughing wata”, I never did find out why though. Its just outside Ocho Rios. The name Ocho Rios means 8 Rivers in Spanish and I guess this is one of the rivers that runs into the ocean. Quite...

This post has more pictures than usual because I really wanted to show what kind of experience I had in the “ghetto”. When I got there it only took minutes for one of them to tell me I suit the ghetto.  In a strange way I was honored. A couple friends of mine who stay in Ocho Rios invited me to their REAL home in Spanish Town, in the parish of St Catherine.  I agreed without hesitation, not knowing really what I was in for.  We drove just over an hour and reached their home after dark...

Talent out of Jamaica I’m a little depressed today from coming home and I’m having a hard time choosing something to write about. So instead, I just wanted to share a dedication to my two best friends in Jamaica. I made this compilation video of some of their breakdancing and stunts. I actually think I’m going to try and get them and some of their crew up here for a show. They all have passports….why not let them share their talent outside of Jamaica? Anyways enjoy the...

The minute I met this guy I knew I had a star on my hands LOL!! I spent some time wandering around Lucea, Jamaica a couple weeks ago. Its a town I’ve driven through so many times but never stopped to look around. This day I decided to do just that. I wandered down towards the fishing area on the shoreline to look around. Its full of boats and little shacks where the fisherman sell their catch. My nose drew me to this shack where a man was cooking up something that smelled heavenly….GARLIC! Jamaican...
