Alright, back into my favorite town in Jamaica….Lucea. I’m still not sure why I’ve always found this little town so charming compared to the rest of the places I’ve been in Jamaica but I just love it!
Its taken me 6 years to actually make the stop in Lucea and look around, so I decided I better make it worthwhile and capture some of the important places in the town….the government buildings.

As usual, I always seem to manage to find the police...

Okay so now I get thousands of search terms in my stats and I can no longer keep track of them LOL! So I skimmed through the ones for May and still managed to pick out some great ones. It amazes me what people use Google for!
Q: 3 Jamaicans get into a taxi
A: LOL this sounds like a good start to one of those jokes like “2 Rabbi’s and a priest get into a boat”
Q: Do Jamaicans need donations?
A: Probably. Do Americans need donations right now?

I’ve always known that Jamaica has the most churches in the world, per capita. But just found out by researching that this fact is actually a Guinness World Record! Imagine that!
You can find a church on every single street corner it seems, and some of them are the most charming little structures ever!! There are so many different looking ones compared to our modern ones back home, I love taking pictures of churches in Jamaica.

Singing Jamaicans
If there’s one thing I know about Jamaicans, they are NOT shy! They’re all up for performing any time, whether it be dancing, singing or any other form of putting themselves out there. I love this about them. What I’ve also learned is that even though 99% of them can dance like there’s no tomorrow, they can’t all sing LOL!! Still doesn’t stop them from trying.
A couple of friends I stayed with in Negril are perfect examples of the fact that even...

Jamaican Sports College
While staying with friends in Spanish Town last month I had the opportunity to go on a mini-tour of GC Foster college. Since my friends only live minutes from it they offered to walk me over to see it. I’ve since read that this is one of the premier sporting colleges in the Caribbean!

This afternoon was blazing hot but if there’s something to see in Jamaica I have to go! This is how the college looks from GC Foster road, walking towards...

Passage to India – Ocho Rios
First of all if you’ve never been to Jamaica you might not know that its as multi-cultural as they come! On my first trip way back in 2003 I was very surprised that the first shop owner I saw was Chinese. Of course since then I’ve learned a LOT more about Jamaica and that its very much populated by Asians and East Indians.

There’s a shopping plaza in Ocho Rios called Soni’s Plaza and there’s...
