These are my FAVORITE subjects to photograph in Jamaica….the people. You can see the first installment of solo images by CLICKING HERE. All these photos are people I know and capture the Jamaican spirit and way of life so nicely.
Pondering by the water.
This next one was our driver Leon, chilling out on a hot afternoon with a cold Red Stripe. What a better way to spend an afternoon!
Next is a very good friend of mine who lives and breathes dancing in all forms. One of his favorite things...

A while back I posted about the beauty of getting out and seeing Jamaica’s countryside. See that post HERE. There’s more to this island than just beaches and hotels. You could stop anywhere on a roadside and get out for a hike and see some of the most beautiful greenery. The rolling hills seem endless on this island.

This day we were out and about hiking on the North Coast which is where I was fascinated by these big old trees….stunning!

Okay here’s the second installment of the funny signs in Jamaica. And then I’m out of town for a few days so I won’t be posting again til later in the week. So enjoy!
This one is funnier if you know that practically all the bars in Jamaica have this sign or a similar one hanging….with their “intent” to get a license LOL. This would never fly in North America!

I couldn’t think of a better post to make after all the downtime with the blog, than to make you all laugh. These are just random funny signs seen around Jamaica. If you ever visit, keep your eyes peeled for hilarious signs.

The next one might be controversial but its funny...

I’ve always known that Jamaica has the most churches in the world, per capita. But just found out by researching that this fact is actually a Guinness World Record! Imagine that!
You can find a church on every single street corner it seems, and some of them are the most charming little structures ever!! There are so many different looking ones compared to our modern ones back home, I love taking pictures of churches in Jamaica.

Pictures of Negril at Sundown
In Jamaica, you don’t have to look for magic. It just finds you. This one evening all I did was sit down to have dinner at a random beach restaurant in Negril. I didn’t even need to get out of my chair to capture these moments as the sun was going down.
And these Jamaican youth made it pretty easy to catch the essence of my favorite country…..the people.
