James Bond beach is in the parish of St Mary on Jamaica’s north coast. It was definitely worth the trip to go see it and the drive was just as beautiful. It’s only about 20 minutes from Ocho Rios and the drive is ALL coast. You follow the seaside to Oracabessa and you’re there! Alright this is my second installment of churches in Jamaica, you can see my first post about them HERE. This time all the churches are in the same town, Port Maria in the parish of St Mary. This day we literally just wandered the streetsĀ  ALL day long on foot and took pictures of everything. One thing I’ve learned about Jamaica is there are a lot of different cultures and nationalities that have settled into the island. There are plenty of East Indian and Asian businesses all over the place. But this was the first time I’ve seen MY nationality there! Ahh you’re gonna love this one! And I’m glad I lived to tell about it! A few weeks ago I was in Port Maria and a friend of mine who’s nephew is a fisherman there offered to take us fishing. Sounded great until we woke up that day and it was windy and stormy! But we had faith it was going to clear up and we headed out anyways. Ever since I found out on a friend’s website, KEEP IT JIGGY, about another lighthouse in Jamaica I made it my mission to find it when I got to St Mary two weeks ago. I’m obsessed with lighthouses, I just find them so intriguing! Let me tell you it was no easy feat….it seemed no one knew where it was! We left it up to a route taxi driver to ask around and finally he found the way. I didn’t regret it and I got the perfect stormy day to photograph it! Galina Point Lighthouse...
