This post is almost as ridiculous as the spider one but you’ll get a great laugh out this one! A long while back I posted about DOGS IN JAMAICA and showed pics of all these nice, lazy, cute island dogs.  Well this post is gonna show you how they all start out! This puppy belonged to friends of mine in Steer Town, Jamaica and it was the craziest creature on the planet!  We tried EVERYTHING to subdue it so we could have a nap one day and this is pretty much what we ended up with. Must be...

Before I even start this post there’s no way you’ll REALLY get a feeling of what rain in Jamaica is like. When it rains there…IT RAINS!! The absolute worst rain I ever experienced in Jamaica was April 2008 at about 4:00AM. It woke us up by setting off ALL the car alarms in the parking lot below my apartment. We opened the door and just sat under the protection of our veranda and watched in amazement. Check out the drain pipe on the left in this picture. This is up at Shaw Park...

While going through some pictures from past trips I came across one that made me laugh. I can’t even remember which restaurant I was eating at on the beach in Negril, but this is how they packaged my leftover pizza. I remember when the waiter brought it back to my table I laughed at it, laughed at him and made him laugh about it too. I asked if this was supposed to be my handbag now! And I got up from the table and skipped around in a circle swinging it and pretending it was my purse...

This award is meant to encourage and uplift others who seek to promote their true love of Jamaica in the blogging world. People who use their blog to share what Jamaica is all about. It was awarded to me by IrieGal on her blog - A FE ME PAGE DIS IYAH! She created this award as a way to pay it forward to the wonderful people who are promoting the great things Jamaica has to offer from food, music, culture, people. When I found out she chose my blog it made my entire day and it’s my turn to...

Unless you’ve traveled to other developing countries you might not know about some of the animals there. I hate to post about anything negative but there’s a harsh reality about dogs in Jamaica that probably won’t sit well with you, especially if you’re a dog-lover. Picture of a dog in Jamaica All the dogs I’m picturing in this post are pets of people in Jamaica, but the sad truth is that the mass majority of dogs there are stray and no one owns them. They are not...

Another re-post from the lost posts of July. This was such a cute and funny story I wanted to put it back up. On a day I was going from Negril to Ocho Rios we got stuck in some super heavy traffic on the highway. We moved at a crawl for a good long while near Runaway Bay and I thought for sure it was an accident. There are some pretty crazy accidents on Jamaican roads and I wondered what we’d see as we approached. Eventually we were crawling right beside the sea wall and there were literally...

The greatest thing about Jamaica is that the unexpected and sometimes crappy incidents can even turn out great, or at least not as bad as you think. At the very least you get to see something done in a way you’ve never seen before and might meet new people in the process. Here’s a picture of me before the flat tire incident got exciting LOL. Waiting on a flat tire to be fixed. Our driver got a flat tire right as we were leaving Negril for Ocho Rios one day, so we stopped in at the nearest...
