Budget – Everywhere I Wanted It To Be
With overwhelming response, the theme to my current treks around Jamaica in the last couple of weeks has been “ROAD TRIP!” I had everyone across the island in on our “1, 2, 3, ROAD TRIP!” chant with hands in the air, and it was all made possible by Budget Rental Car Jamaica
located at Sangster airport in Montego Bay.
Over the years I’ve posted several nightmare stories of my experiences renting cars in Jamaica that are not up to par nor even safe to drive. There have been trips that I’ve scrapped all my road plans due to vehicles I didn’t feel safe driving. Those stories are part of what made the whole process with Budget Rental Car so amazing and seamless.
When I arrived in Montego Bay I headed straight to the Budget Rental Car office in the airport. I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes and the staff were all expecting me. From completing the paper work in their office we headed across the road and into the car park where myself and a Budget staff member did a full walk-around and inspection of the vehicle. That also took about ten minutes to complete and I was on the road to Ochi in no time!
Over the course of two weeks (so far) me and my Budget car have touched 7 out of 14 parishes in Jamaica and has been washed twice. You can always tell the signs of a good road trip by how dirty the car gets! Several things have been written into the dusty window on the back of the car in between washings!
More About The Car
I’m driving a late model, fully loaded Suzuki Grand Vitara. Power everything, automatic transmission and a KILLER sound system! I’ve never had decent music-ability in a rental car. My road trip CD has been on repeat for days! Budget can also keep you online and in touch with your social life by providing you with a phone, SIM card and local phone credit while you travel.
More About The Road
As I mentioned I’ve hit 7 out of 14 parishes and done four airport runs for friends who have come down to visit Jamaica. I’m so thankful that Budget provides unlimited mileage and boundaries on their rentals – so perfect for my travel style.
All the stories and road trip posts will unfold in the coming weeks. It’s been difficult to be online due to the amount of time I’ve spent on the road and to the fact that hurricane Sandy wiped out any good internet connections in many places.
MANY, MANY THANKS to Budget Rental Car for providing me with the most reliable rental experience I’ve ever had in Jamaica. I highly recommend them so let me know if you’d like your next experience to be a Budget experience!
