Any time I find a great driver in Jamaica I feel the need to help them out by promoting their services on this site. I’ve been to Jamaica enough times to know it’s not easy finding an honest and fair driver who knows that if they treat me right the first time I’ll keep calling them back.
I found “Dr Bell” in Ocho Rios one day while looking for a ride to a Plantation. There are so many drivers to choose from all over Ochi but he quoted me the best price to the plantation and had a nice car. In my mind a nice car means he must do great business.
The day Dr Bell took us to the plantation it was closed but he immediately suggested something else equally as great for us to do in the same area. He took us to White River for a raft ride and it was a fabulous event! While we were rafting we were able to leave our belongings in his car and not worry about them, and we even left one of our cameras with him and he drove to the end of the river and took pictures of our raft coming in. He provided us with GREAT service, was trustworthy with our money and belongings in his car and even went the extra mile with the picture taking. This is why we kept calling him back.
His car is impeccably clean, complete with napkins in case you need one. He’s business minded and his prices are reasonable for a charter taxi. We hired Dr Bell for several different excursions in the Ocho Rios area…river rafting, botanical gardens and the plantation tour. He also does airport transfers from Montego Bay. Dr Bell comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me!

i will be flying into montego bay and will be staying close to cinnamon hill for the golf tournament. How far is Mo Bay from cinnamon hill? How reasonable is he?

Cinnamon Hill is in Rose Hall, Mobay so it’s not far at all. The best thing to do is give him a call and ask a couple questions because he would be coming from Ocho Rios. Every trip is different so I couldn’t quote you a price. Call him….he’s super friendly to deal with!

Dr.Bell is by far the most romantic driver i have ever had. takes his time with me, no matter where we are. at the market, in town or up in the secluded hills. I recommend him for a good time.

I need to say Dr #love# Bell is truly amazing. The most professional charter taxi driver. He is reliable and a great driver. Takes no risks on the road and I am\happy to fall asleep in the car and feel safe – NO OTHER TAXI IN OCHI could I fall asleep cos\they are dangerous, some of them even fall asleep while driving you!!!!!!
DR Bell highly recommended, if he was an hotel I would rate him on the
\Jamaica Grande ***** if there was a 10 star I would give him *********!!!!!!

Hello everyone,
I just returned from 8 Rios….Sunday July 31, 2010…its taken me a while to get back into the swing of things on my end as I am very much so in mind of Ochi.
With research I came across this site…and have been very grateful to JC for all her resources. JC thanks!
I must say I had the priviledge of being in safe transporting with Dr. Bell. He’s well mannered, and polite. Despite the rather hectic traffic in and around busy Ochi he remained calm. I noticed too that he exercised good road manners by using ‘please’, ‘Thank you’, and ‘may I’. The key to safe operation of driving is the driver. An excellent driver can offset a poor vehicle, but an excellent automobile can seldom offset a poor driver. Dr. Bell thanks for always looking out for my safety. When I decided to leave with a friend of mine from church, he asked many questions of my friend to make sure I would be in safe hands.
Thank you JC for connecting me with such a safe driver. I would highly recommend any persons to use Dr. Bell for safe reliable transporting. He truly has a passion for his service.

Just a quick note about the Dr. Bell post. I arrived in Ocho Rios via a cruise ship with my 2 kids (16 and 11 yrs). I arranged for Dr. Bell to transport us for the day. The Doctor was great. He showed us all the places we wanted to see, he kept us from getting hustled by people. His taxis was clean, and comfortable. I would not trust just anyone to taxi my kids and myself around Jamaica. Dr. Bell is simiply great! I highly recommend him (1-876-430-8396).

Just got back from Ocho Rios and Dr. Bell was our driver the entire time we were on the Island! I can’t say enough great things about him!! I would recommend him to anyone visiting! He was careful to protect us and make sure we enjoyed our trip! One of our tours got rescheduled and we were going to be left with nothing to do, I called Dr. Bell and he immediately came and took us to Dunns River, saving the day!!
