I met Damian through a close friend who used to live in Jamaica, and he’s been absolutely reliable transportation for me ever since. The first time we met, my airport transfer from Montego Bay was arranged through this friend and it was Damian who picked us up. The first thing I noticed was his really nice ride, a brand new Honda…looks like a cross between a car and a van. Tons of space inside for 4 passengers and plenty of baggage in the back.

Damian has taken me from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios, and from Kingston to Runaway Bay. Always on time and he even came to Kingston on super short notice, which was no small feat because he lives at least 2 hours from there! Just last week on the ride from Kingston he was telling me he’ll tour anyone island-wide, to any town or attraction you want. He’s even toured a fair amount of famous people like Will Smith! But he knows his way around and doesn’t hesitate to tell you everything about everything you’re seeing on the way.
In this next picture we were just outside of Spanish Town and he made a quick stop on the road to buy us some Jackfruit. I’d never tried it before and he wanted us to try his favorite snack. He bought 2 bags, one to eat on the road and one to eat later.
I asked him if I could do this post for him and of course he said yes. For 2 people from Kingston to Runaway Bay (over 2 hours) we paid $150. For 4 people from Montego Bay to Ochi (1.5 hours) we paid only $100 all together. Pretty cheap if you split that’s for sure. I knew Kingston would be expensive but it was a last minute, short notice thing. Had to make it worth his while because I literally called him AS I was boarding my plane.

We will be in Runaway Bay in August (27th-sep 3rd). Is Damian still doing this? He sounds like a good bet if we wanted to do a bit of a tour around.

Yes Damian is always a driver. Also if you search Dr Bell on my blog you’ll see another driver I highly recommend.

Where do these guys live? I plan to spend a week in Ocho next winter. I would feel safer with someone who has been recommended. Thanks.

In the Ocho Rios area. If you need some driving you should definitely call them.
